Das Arthur Schnitzler-Archiv Freiburg (ASAF) ist eine auf den Wiener Erzähler, Dramatiker und Arzt Arthur Schnitzler (1862–1931) spezialisierte Forschungseinrichtung. Es besteht seit Mitte der 1960er Jahre und ist eines der wichtigsten Sammelstätten des Nachlassmaterials. Das Archiv verwahrt sowohl Kopien von eigenhändigen Niederschriften, Typoskripten und Briefen Schnitzlers, als auch Werkausgaben, (illustrierte) Erstausgaben bis hin zu einer Vielzahl von Verfilmungen, Hörspielen und Vertonungen seiner Novellen und Dramen. Überdies werden hier Theateraufnahmen und -programme gesammelt.
The research institution Arthur Schnitzler-Archiv Freiburg (ASAF) specializes in the Viennese author, playwright and physician Arthur Schnitzler (1862–1931). It exists since the mid-1960s and is one of the most important repositories of his literary remains and written legacy. The archive stores copies of Schnitzler's handwritings, typescripts and letters as well as editions of his complete works, (illustrated) first editions and a large selection of film adaptations, radio plays and musical settings of his prose and plays. Recordings of theatre productions and programmes are also collected.
